EPC looking to open for In-Person Worship November 1

Congregation members longing to worship in person with their EPC family, will have that opportunity once again beginning Sunday, November 1 at 8:30 a.m.

Following published state guidelines and mandates for group meetings, significant precautions are being put into place to protect the health of those who come. Masks and social distancing will be required during the entire time people are inside the building. The pews will be marked off, with seating available only in every other pew. Speakers will address the congregation from behind a plexiglass barrier. Volunteers will be making sure restrooms and all surfaces are sanitized each week.

Elders are confident these measures will provide a high degree of safety, however it is recognized that people in high-risk groups may still want to stay home. Therefore, the worship service will also be live streamed, so that everyone can participate at least to some degree in the live worship service. Services will also be recorded so they can be viewed at a later time. Details will be provided soon about how to see the services online.

Because of the safety measures, space will be limited and you are strongly encouraged to reserve seats in advance. You will be able to make reservations quickly and easily on the church website, or by telephone.

Some limited space will be kept available for walk-ins, but church leaders warned that if you just show up on Sunday morning, there may or may not be a space for you. If greeters are unable to find a seat for walk-ins, they will still be able to listen to the service on the radio in their cars. The FM station will be announced soon.

Masks will be required for walk-ins, as well, and will be available at the church for anyone who forgets their mask.
