EPC Re-Opening Postponed to December 6

After a long meeting with Session Tuesday night, Elder Larry Russell has announced that EPC's plans to re-open in-person worship services have been postponed till at least December 6, due to a recent spike in COVID-19 cases in Colorado and in Elbert County.

 

In the meantime, we will be live streaming services from the sanctuary starting at 8:30 a.m. this Sunday, November 1st.

 

"We will be doing everything we can to make this as normal as possible for folks viewing from home," Larry said. "We'll have the praise team in the sanctuary to lead us in song, we'll have a liturgist leading us through all the elements of the service as much as possible like it would be on a normal Sunday morning. And people you know and love will be bringing the message. We just won't be able to have you sitting right there with us."

 

On Saturday night you will receive everything you need to join us online.

 

As has been the case since we started doing online worship service, everyone will receive an e-mail on Saturday night. It will include a link to the livestream on YouTube, your bulletin, lyrics to the songs, sermon notes if any, and anything else we can think of.

The live stream will start promptly at 8:30, so please plan to connect through the link no later than 8:30. Please be aware that the service will also be recorded and available for viewing on the church website later in the day on Sunday and anytime thereafter. A link will also be provided for that.

 

"Obviously the situation is not ideal," Larry said. "But it's a start. It's the beginning of the next thing as your elders work to safely phase us back into live, in-person, face-to-face worship. Please pray for your elders and the congregation as we travel this road together."
